It is every girl's fantasy: their wedding. Some women know exactly what they are looking for in a dress, while others may not be as particular about their wedding dress. Find out how you can make designing your dream wedding dress a realit
Step 1
Look for inspirations in wedding magazines. You have to know what you want in order to design a dream wedding dress. Looking through wedding magazines may help you narrow down the style of dress you will consider for your wedding. Learn about modern, vintage and extravagent designs.
Step 2
Try on a version of your fantasy dress in the wedding stores. What may look good on paper may not actually be the best type of dress for your wedding. Your fantasy of wearing a strapless wedding gown may be challenged when you notice that a halter style dress looks better on your frame.
Step 3
Use the designing tool below to sketch out what you've noticed looks good on your body. It is quite simple to draw a silhouette, neckline and sleeves of what you want for your wedding dress. And then print it out. Accessorizing your dress includes embellishments on the dress, veil type, etc.
Step 4
Hire Ava Bridal or a seamstress in your city to finalize what you want on paper in real life. Make sure to hire a seamstress who is experienced in making wedding dress and be able to make suggestions as to what materials would be most appropriate for your wedding dress and to tell you what the costs will be.
Step 5
Select the fabric, lace and trimmings from our stock or go to a specialty fashion fabric store to gather materials for your dress. The store will not only have materials for your gown but also for certain types of laces and trimmings for the complete look of your gown.
Step 6
Wedding dresses are fitted garments, so fitting is usually required. Try to get fitted a couple weeks before your special day since it will take time to get it just right.
